My whole family love basil and this dish has plenty of basil leaves. I love spearmint too. So I used both fresh herbs in this dish. It is also a Thai meat dish but in Peranakan cuisine we usually omit the fish sauce and add the oyster sauce. View more

As I had mentioned before that there are two types of Soba noodles, one is unsalted and the other is salted. This dish I used the salted Soba noodles. When you use this salted one, you do not need to add too much salt or soy sauce. My husband is always my taster and he preferred the unsalted Soba noodles. Well, I like to use both as long as you just adjust the seasonings. I prepared this dish in Chinese-style. View more

Married into an Indian family, they love meat to be grill on the skewer than the western way by just throwing the meat on the BBQ grill. They found that eating a chunk of meat is uncivilized. The orientals are the same, we preferred the meats served bit sizes and all packed them in a bamboo stick and cook them. This is very simple to make and enjoy them. View more
