Chinese-Style Chicken Wraps

I had tried this dish in many restaurants and I always find them very oily. I decided to make it myself. It is a easy dish to prepare as all the ingredients are easily available in any stores. It is a good dish to serve as a appetizer, snack or a main entree. Give this a try and I can assure you that you will enjoy it as much as I did.




½ pound chicken breasts, skinless, boneless and ground

¾ cup chopped red bell peppers

½ cup chopped green bell peppers

½ cup sliced green onions

¾ cup diced skinless Gala apples

¾ cup peanuts

2 tablespoons canola/vegetable/corn oil

2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped

½ teaspoon ginger

½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)

1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper

¾ tablespoon lemon juice/cider vinegar

1¼ tablespoons light soy sauce

1½ tablespoons oyster sauce

¼ head Iceberg lettuce leaves or warm Peking/Mexican flour taco tortillas



In a small mixing bowl add ground chicken and soy sauce and let it stand for 10-15 minute.

Heat a wok/frying skillet with canola/vegetable/corn oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add marinade ground chicken and stir-fry until chicken turn opaque or no longer pink. Add the chopped green and red bell peppers and combine with the chicken for another 1-2 minutes.  Add in the peanuts, green onions, lemon juice/cider vinegar, chili powder (optional), ground white pepper and oyster sauce, toss until well mix and heat through. Serve with Iceberg lettuce or flour tortillas if you wish. Enjoy!
