Thai Iced Tea (Cha Yen)

This tea beverage has a very unique flavor. It is available at most Asian grocery stores. I am a tea drinker but I drink it without milk but my family members prefer with milk but not normal milk, it has to be Sweetened Condense Milk. It is very popular and common in Thai restaurants or street marketplace. You can easily make this beverage in your own restaurant and you need not have to pay the high price. Give this a try.

Ingredients:

1 Thai Tea Teabag (For one serving only, if you need more servings add accordingly)

Boiling hot water

½ cup fresh milk or Coffee-mate Cream

½ -1 tablespoons sweetened condense milk

Method:

Brew Thai Tea Teabag in a tall glass with 1½ cups boiling hot water. Stir tea for about 30 seconds or until the water turns dark brown. Remove teabag, add sweetened condensed milk. Stir well to combine. Add in the fresh milk or coffee-mate cream. Stir well.

Let it stands aside to cool to room temperature. Top with ice cubes with fresh milk or coffee-mate cream. Do not be alarm – the finished product should be appeared orange cream color.
